Dear Mr. President:

Thank you for the opportunity to write you! I am currently in the 6th grade, attending Magnolia Science Academy 8 in Bell, California. I am writing this letter because I have some concerns regarding immigration reform. In my ELD class we were asked to choose something that we would like changed in our country and that you as president would be able to change. I think that the president should allow illegal immigrants to stay in the US.

One reason this change is important is deporting immigrants hurts U.S citizens. According to Newsela, deporting immigrants will break up families.

Another reason this change is important is because most of the kids are getting abused on other countries. Newsela states, the refugee law allows the young immigrants to stay here and be protected as refugees.

The last reason that this change is important is because farm need workers to harvest crops. Newsela tells us that, if they allow illegal immigrants to stay in the U.S it will make it easier for the farmers to harvest the crops and milk the cows.

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and I hope you can make this important change for America!

Most respectfully,

Magnolia Science Academy 8 Bell
