Better Education

this shows how to improve the education of many kids living in poverty and in need of resources or supplies.

Dear Next President,

The biggest issue facing America today is education reforms. Did you know that america has the 2nd largest rate of poverty as stated in “Inside man” documentary season 1 episode 4. This issue is important because poverty can play a big role in a person’s life especially in a learning students life. In addition, High schools are not preparing students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel after graduation. Only 1 in 4 high school students graduate college-ready in the 4 core subjects of English, Reading, Math and Science. This is important because if the students don’t know the basics how will they move forward and learn advanced math(algebra) or science(living environment).

I remember how in my home country many students used to take 2-3 years in each class mostly because of poverty. This is important because students can't learn if they're living in poverty and learn at the same time because they will not have any resources. In addition I also remember how when I was in 5th grade the teacher never used to focus on the class or in the lesson. This is also important because if the teacher does not focus on the class or in the lesson s[he] can't teach anyone.

One solution to this issue is to hire more experienced teachers or randomly a student about the way the teacher interacts with the class and how s[he] teaches the lesson. Another solution to this problem is to start providing students with resources in school also start charities that provide food, clothing, shelter, and supplies for them to learn better. In the future I would like to see many charities and schools dedicated to provide supplies, shelter, clothing, food, and better teachers for a better education for a better future.

Sincerely,

Abdul Rehman
