Dear Future President,

I would like to talk about the gender wage gap. I do not think that it is fair that men make more money than women. According to Pay Equality and Discrimination, “Women are almost half the workforce, they also receive more college and graduate degrees than men. “ In addition to this fact, my mother makes less money than my dad. They work at the same office building in Seattle. According to a recent regression analysis of federal data by IWPR, “the poverty rate would be cut in half if women were paid the same as men.” Women have made tremendous strides during the last few decades by moving into jobs and occupations done almost exclusively by men, yet during the last decade they have made the most progress. Women make eighty cents per dollar of what men make. This is a real and horrible earning. Please help to make this wage fair for everyone.
