Immigration

Immigration should be stopped and there should be less of it in our world. Our states should stop being filled with illegal immigrants. A fence or wall is too much money to keep everyone out of our country.

Dear Future President,

Statistics estimate that about 11.4 million illegal immigrants reside in the U.S. today.

This is an immigrant's story. His name is Gonzalo."I came to the United States as a child. My dad is a resident alien but could never fix my situation. Since I have been here I’ve formed a family of my own. I don’t know anything about Mexico because I was raised here and I find myself scared to be deported to a place that I do not know." I hope that the next president can change illegal immigration so that there is less of it.

Employment based Immigration- Through the Labor Certification Process,it can sponsor a foreign national for admission as a lawful permanent resident . The process usually involves demonstrating to the Department of Labor, that there are no available U.S. workers for the job, for which an immigrant visa is pass. The number of employment-based visas available each fiscal year is limited to 140,000.

Today, there are at least around 41 million immigrants residing in the United States, which is 13% of the U.S. population. The most popular states that immigrants go to include California, Texas, Florida, New York, and Illinois. California (9,859,027). New York (4,236,768). Texas (3,887,224). Florida (3,391,511). Illinois (1,782,423).

Construction of a fence,(or wall), was already started after Clinton voted on, and Bush signed the “Safe Fence Act of 2006”, but was eventually abandoned because it was too costly, plus they found that immigrants were just finding “other ways” to get in the country. Recently the number of illegal immigrants in the county has actually been decreasing.

President, I want you to make a change about illegal immigration into the United States. You can reduce the amount of people illegally immigrating into America.

Sincerely,

Jacob
