Gun control

Gun regulations should become more strict.

Dear Future President,

Hello, I believe that there is a serious problem in our country that is causing numerous unnecessary and preventable deaths. The problem is loose gun regulations. Our country has a gun regulation system but it has been proving to be a failing one. In 2014 there have been over 11,000 gun related homicides; deaths that should have been prevented by the gun regulation system. These deaths could have been prevented if we had stronger gun regulations. Opposition might say that gun control is a violation of the second amendment, but if we keep loosely regulating guns, we are endangering one of the most crucial rights that all people are entitled to: life.

Gun control is not a failing system and has been implemented in other places such as Australia. Strict gun control might be a bitter pill to swallow, but in the end the regulation will increase public safety.
