Dear President of the United States,
I love nature and I hate it when I see cars polluting the air. Air pollution is a big problem right now in our world and so is global warming. It is clear that coal influences the environment because it makes a lot the carbon dioxide air pollution and global warming. We need to mix use renewable energy and less polluting energy. Renewable energy is not perfect yet but we don’t have a choice because we cannot keep using coal. It is destroying our environment.
Coal is a type polluting energy, but we still have millions of people using coal to make energy because it is cheap. But it makes a lot the carbon dioxide, which makes global warming. According to "Issue Overview: Confronting coal," "Germany started two new coal-powered electricity plants in 2015. Burning coal emits almost twice as much carbon dioxide as natural gas and about one-quarter more pollution than heating oil." People always want to live better, and they will live better with fresh air, water, food and a comfortable place. Renewable energy is a type of energy without pollution to make a greener environment for the people of the earth.
In the 21st century we still have millions of people using coal to make energy, and the majority of people who use coal is poor people because it is cheap. But it makes a lot of carbon dioxide, which makes the global warming. Now coal accounts for about 30 percent of the world's energy consumption.
Solar power is a type of renewable energy that comes from the sun. "It can be collected using large plates called solar panels. As the light hits them, they make electricity." Without electricity, machines would not work, according to "Issue Overview: Solar energy." Solar panels do not make much energy and when the weather is dark or cloudy they can not get the energy. So that makes it be cheap. In some places, solar energy is as cheap as fossil fuels.
Wind energy is also one type of a renewable energy to make electricity. Today wind power is growing fast. It does not make pollution to the earth too, and it just needs the wind. We can use wind energy to make a better, greener environment.
It is clear that coal influences the environment because it makes a lot of carbon dioxide air pollution and global warming in the 21st century. Renewable energy is a type of low-pollution energy and can be reused, to get renewable power to make a better environment for people. Of course, solar panels can’t make power every day when we can’t see the sun, so what I think that is people can mix use renewable energy and less polluting energy to make a better, greener environment for the people of the earth.
