Dear Next President,

I am writing about our people being safer by recycling. We could help the economy, better the Earth with less pollution and global warming. Everyone should be able to recycle because environmental importance, importance to people, and know the 3 R’s.

Our environment is very important to us. “Global Warming and habitat destruction are some effects caused by deforestation”(Environmental Importance). If we recycle, than it will reduce pollution caused by waste. “Harmful chemicals and greenhouse gasses are released from rubbish in landfill site”(Environmental Importance).There is a lot of energy being used when making products from raw materials. Did you know, “1 recycled tin can would save enough energy to power a television for 3 hours?” (Recycling facts and figures).

How recycling is important to us people? Well, there really isn't space for waste. Recycling would reduce financial expenditure in the economy. “Reduce financial expenditure in the economy. Making products from raw materials

costs much more than if they were made from recycled products” (Recycling is important 1) (1). Recycling reduces using more raw material. It uses less energy, preserving natural resources for the future (2) (Website Title: Recycling Guide Article Title: Recycling is Important)

"What are the 3 R’s? Reduce, reuse, recycle! Reduce “the best way to manage waste is to not produce it” (“The Three R’s: reduce, reuse and recycle” 1) Using cloth napkins is better than using paper napkins(1). Reuse “it makes economic and environmental sense to reuse product” (The Three R’s: reduce, reuse and recycle "(1). Use resealable containers instead of plastic wrap because you could reuse resealable containers. (2). Recycling is used material that can be sold as a new product. Use recyclable material that is collected for recycling in your community (3). The 3 R’s are really important. If we all do the 3 R’s, than our would would be better" (Missouri Department of Natural Resources Article Title: The Three R's: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle).

So, Next President, these are some reason why everyone should recycle! We don't want pollution in our environment. We don't want global warming. Just think about the 3 R’s. Reduce, reuse and recycle. If we would recycle, it would help our environment, it'll help us out, it'll help the world. So we all need to be able to recycle.
