Global Warming

This is a critical issue that will create a state of climate emergency and needs to be resolved cautiously and necessary actions need to be taken towards it.

Dear Future President,

The strong layer of pollution, carbon dioxide, methane, and a great deal of other dangerous gases that play a big role in global warming are drifting through the air and are affecting many plants, animals, and even humans themselves. This is a very important, and in this presidential election, a very controversial topic that needs to be investigated further, despite the pros and cons of the situation.

According to the Intercontinental Arctic Climate Impact Assessment report compiled between 2000 and 2004, the average temperature in Alaska, Western Canada and Russia has risen at twice the global average. The arctic ice is melting at a fast rate, and it is predicted that in 2040, the region is expected to have an ice free summer. This might not seem significant, although, what about the animals living in those areas? What will happen to the plants? What will happen to the oceans and the sea levels? How will these issues change our environment? The terrible thing is that this does not end here. The areas in which the citizens are living, the areas where the children go to school, the areas where people go to have a fun and relaxing time are surrounded by pollution, carbon dioxide, and nitrous oxide just like the danger of the melting ice the arctic regions will experience. This is poisoning our environment and if appropriate action is not taken, global warming will not disappear for another couple decades.

Taking action on global warming is not an option and needs to be looked at in more depth. One solution can be to rethink planes, trains, and automobiles. Of course, carpooling and other simple tactics can be used to prevent more pollution in the air, although it is time to take a bigger approach to this issue. In terms of air transport, this creates lots of unwanted pollution in the air and there can be other substitutions for this, like converting to an electric engine. Likewise, electric automobiles are more energy efficient and do not pollute the air with more gases than there already is. Other solutions, include the removal of wind power in wind farms. Wind power can change the rainfall and temperature in nearby areas which can result in climate change. There is a need for more studies on the concept of future energy systems. The wind power released alters the climate and can warm and cool other areas as well.

Global warming is a problem. Necessary actions need to be taken in order to decrease the effects it may have later on. Human, animal, and plant life is at risk due to the massive climate changes happening in the U.S. The studies that have been done have shown the impact that global warming has created. This problem cannot be pushed aside and be looked at when it drastically affects us and there is nothing that can be done.

Sincerely,

       Elgida
