Awareness in Third World Countries
Awareness in Third World Countries
Dear Next President,
Nowadays, there is awareness of problems within popular countries, but there are some third world countries that don’t get any publicity or any way to communicate with other people or countries to receive help. Based off PEI MAG, the top 10 world problems are poverty, living without electricity, living off agriculture, clean drinking water, terrorism, child labor, healthcare and sanitation, war, pollution, and of course, hunger.
The fact that we live in a very materialistic age doesn’t help either and people are ignorant towards third world problems. Just because you are not aware of the problems doesn’t mean they’re not there. Some things we just take for granted.
In most countries, we are able to hear their need of help and help them out, but in some other small countries, no one knows what's going on there. To solve this issue we can have a government funded group have people sent to these quiet countries to see what their lives are like and so we can help them if help is needed.
Now, the cliche question is could you imagine your life with those third world problems? Especially lack of clean drinking water and food. For us, it’s not really imaginable since we have never went home to an empty fridge, and some people don't even have proper homes.
Sincerely,
Sadeem
