Dear Next President,

My name is Vinny Guerrino and my issue is that the police should have more training and supplies so they know what to do in all situations like if they're in a hostage situation they can deal with it fast and no one gets hurt. I think that they should get better training and more supplies. Because they will know how to avoid shootings that cause the problem we are having with the protests and the other stuff.

The police have a rough time as it is trying to protect us. They don't know if someone is reaching for a gun or if they are reaching for their license. Police have to protect themselves that is why they are so careful toward these things. People think that police are bad because they make a mistake but they're not and when they make mistakes they are not on purpose but people think that they are so then they protest and when that happens people get made and bad things happen like police get shot at and they shoot them back.

According to a BBC news article, on average 100 to 120 police die doing their jobs each year. That is not right for the people that protect the states to be getting shot at. Police officers get injured during the protests because they get in the way so other people don't get hurt.

To solve this problem we can have the police get more training before they go out to the felled. They can get better supplies that can stop people but not kill them then there would not be any problems. Or they should get full Kevlar body suits so they can’t get shot.

Police need more supplies to have stronger equipment for police officers. They should get more training and supplies so they can protect themselves more and to know what to do in all situations. So they and other people don't get heart. Thank again.
