Polution

A letter talking about the pollution problem

10/31/16

Dear, President of the United States,

I would like to congratulate you on your presidency, and I hope you lead this country in the right path. There are a few things that I would like to point out that would need to be fixed. First, is pollution because pollution is, believe it or not, hurting our planet, and if nothing is done, it will affect humanity in a large way, such as lung cancer and severe respiratory problems. It can also affect nature by creating acid rain as well as heating up the earth exponentially and causing the glaciers to melt forcing animals such as penguins and polar bears to lose their homes. It also increases the water levels, flooding homes near the coast, and if it keeps on going on like this, it will not only flood homes; it will also flood cities and maybe also states misplacing millions of American families since a lot of major cities are near the water.

Another thing that I would like to mention is not a problem that happens all the time, but if it does, it can cause a world wide shutdown; what this is, is a solar flare. This is one of the worst things that can happen to our generation because we are surrounded by technology and when a solar flare hits, it will take out every grid in the world, so that means no phones no radio and no anything that has to do with technology. Millions and possibly more people will die because there will be no fresh water, not enough food for everyone, and the crime rate will be at the top of the list, and people will be able to get away with it. Other problems with solar flares is that without power anyone on life support will die, and it will be very difficult to communicate with each other, so to prevent this, we have to work on how to detect when the solar flares will happen and upgrade the power grids so it will not be affected by the flares.

That is all i would like to say and again congratulations.
