Poverty in the United States

There are 43 million people living in poverty in our country. This is a serious problem. If the United States is suppose to be one of the greatest on Earth, than why is so much of the population living in poverty? There's got to be a solution to our poverty problem in the United States. I am hoping you can help solve this very serious problem.

Dear Mr./Mrs. President,

I am writing to you today about a very serious issue that our country is facing: poverty. Right now there are 43 million people in the United States that are living in poverty. It's sad that the United States is said to be one of the greatest countries on Earth, but a large portion of our population lives in poverty. I see poverty all around me. I am hoping that you will help resolve this very serious issue.

Poverty is a very serious issue, but I believe that a plan can be made to help lower the number of people living in poverty in the United States. One thing that would definitely help is an increase in the number of jobs. If we produce more jobs, then more people will start working which would then result in them earning some income. If we can get more people working then the government won't have to pay as much to support people which would also help out our country's economy since the money that would've been given to help support people living in poverty could be spent on something else like paying off our country's debt.

In conclusion, many people living in the United States are living in poverty. The good thing is that you can help change that. By coming up with a plan, I believe you can help reduce the amount of people that are living in poverty. I know this can't happen overnight, but it would be great to see no one in our country living in poverty. Just imagine a world where no one lives in poverty, sounds good to me! Hopefully, I have given you a lot to think about. I just hope that one day we end poverty in our country.

Sincerely,
