Gun Control

Gun control is a big issue today. People die every month from guns.

Dear Future President,

I am writing to you because gun control is a big problem. Every couple months there are deadly shootings, killings, and injuries. There are good things and bad things about guns.

There are some good things about gun control like protection. Many people should have guns, but only for protection. If someone has a criminal record they should not be able to purchase a gun. Also, they should be able to use a gun for hunting. It is not necessarily good or bad, but some animals are overpopulated.

Bad things are just killing and injuring. According to the FBI, in 2012, there were 8,855 deaths from guns. Also, 64% of all related gun deaths have been suicides. This number is way too high. Many shooting’s are from kids that have played violence based games.

Guns are just not good. Guns can kill and hurt people they are not good for today's society. Thank you for reading this letter.
