Dear Next President,

A change that we really need in the USA is Immigration Control. We shall not allow any more Immigrants inside the U.S with an exception. There are too many people coming in that have no work experience and are causing wage depression. Josh Narkson observes that when Immigrants are coming into the U.S, they are competing with us Legal citizens for scarce jobs on The National Interest. They are also coming in saying that they have relatives in the U.S which makes them have citizenship too. There is also no numerical cap on the number of spouses and children being brought over. The cap needs to include skill level of the immigrants and the likeliness that they will become a public charge.

I think that with less Immigration then America will have to worry less about terrorism and Isis. Because one of the problems that we are having right now is that immigrants don’t have any work experience and when they come into the U.S they mostly take all of the low wage jobs.

According to Donald Trump the majority of Immigrants coming to the U.S have brought crime and are killing U.S citizens. Of the 61,529 criminal cases initiated by federal prosecutors in 2013, more than 40 percent were filed in court districts neighboring the border. Nearly 22 percent were drug-related, 19.7 percent were violent crimes, and 10.2 percent involved white-collar offenses. And according to the Center for Immigration Studies, 57 percent of the 76 fugitive murderers wanted by the FBI in 2009 were foreign-born. The Center also disclosed that in Maricopa County in Arizona, 22 percent of felons are illegal immigrants.

The Mexican border is also being used by other countries in South America. Arrests by the Border Patrol of illegals from countries other than Mexico increased from 59,000 in 2010 to 99,000 in 2012. Josh Narkson claims that Immigrants are most likely also coming in from the Middle East, But we don’t know because we have no protection and no competence.

But on the other hand not all Immigrants are bad. The main reason why Immigrants Immigrate to the U.S is because they are trying to get away from their old lives and start over in America. Not all Immigrants are bad. We just see them as bad people and terrorists. In fact only about 2% of all immigrants coming into America are Terrorists.

So in conclusion, I think that we should try to stop Immigration for a period of time so we can have some time to fix America’s Economy first. Then after that we can begin to let Immigrants into America again.
