Dear President, let's talk about honoring other people's experiences

Dear President, I want to tell you that it is a disservice not to honor the academic work of immigrant students by having them repeat school within U.S. standards. If we want this country to truly be inclusive and reflective of the diversity of cultures and experiences that comprise U.S. history and this country today, then we should be working to honor and legitimize the experiences of other people rather than holding them to absolute standards that is the U.S. standard.
