The presidential election cycle

about how the system should be changed.

Dear future president

Do you remember back in 2000 when Al Gore got the popular vote but lost the election because of electoral votes. Four times in the past a nominee that won the popular vote lost the election due to electoral vote, I don’t think that is fair. My personal connection is that I strongly believe in this topic.

In 2000 Al Gore got 540,520 more votes than George bush but still lost the election. In 1888 Grover cleveland got 100,456 votes then benjamin harrison who won the election with way more electoral votes. In 1876 Samuel J. Tilden got 264,292 more votes than Rutherford B. Hayes but ended up losing the election by 1 electoral vote. Also in the democratic party they have superdelegates, and I believe that no one's vote for a nominee should matter more than anyone else's. Also in 2016 at the RNC they had a revote if Donald Drumpf would be the nominee, it shouldn't be up to them everyone in the party should vote for their nominee. The voting should be changed, A party nominee should be voted in by the people of the party. And the vote should go entirely by popular vote.
