The Devils Wrath-Bullying

This letter is about bullying and how it affects kids in the U.S

Dear Future President,

Hello, my name is Robert Bahan and I am from south Colonie the problem I would like to address is bullying, bullying is a big problem in the U.S and it is affecting the minds of the youth the U.S have much more problems than this but we should start by terminating bullying. So if we were to make the U.S a better place we should start by ending bullying.

Bullying is a form of aggressive behavior in which someone who intentionally and repeatedly causes another person discomfort. According to Wikipedia over 23,000,000 children are bullied a year, because of something wrong with them or an insecurity that they have like being poor or being small. Bullying can take the form of physical contact, words or more subtle actions. The bullied individual typically has trouble defending him or herself and does nothing to “cause” the bullying. Victims of bullying are more likely to be depressed than the average person who doesn't get bullied, Most of the time the victim of bullying is deep down really depressed but acts fine when somebody asks them if there ok. The average bully does not usually do it by himself he usually has a group who follows the bully and listens to him, and beat on the victim and causes him stress and sadness. According to DoSomething.org approximately 160,000 kids skip school because of bullying when the kids that skip school doesn't learn the material that they need to they will end up falling behind in school and will end up having a bad life because they didn't earn the stuff they were required to.

The U.S’s main leading cause to suicide is bullying, the average age of kids who commit suicide is 12 years old. According to AFSP.org, a whopping 44,773 kids commit suicide over bullying and we need to act on that issue urgently. If you see a kid getting bullied you go up to them and confront the bully and tell him to stop, after that you should ask the victim if he's ok and if he would like to hang because if you didn't do any of that, the child may think about committing suicide and that is not ok.

In conclusion to my letter bullying is a huge problem in the U.S and we must act urgently on this issue. So if we were to make the united states a bully free country there would be a reduced amount of suicides and failures in classes, and we should start by terminating bullying.

Sincerely Robert B.
