Abortion is killing our Country, Literally!

My paper is on Abortion and what my personal view is!

As you know, Abortion is one of the biggest moral challenges that we as a country face. According to American Progress, “close to 70,000 women die from unsafe abortions per year, and numerous others suffer injuries including various infections, internal bleeding, and future infertility.” Many people have put in time, work, and dedication into creating programs that make abortion as inaccessible as possible, and they have all been proven to be very successful. Abortion does not only hurt the mother and her child, but it hurts generations yet to come. Unborn children have just as much potential to do well in the world, as anyone already living has experienced. Not only is it allowed to kill an infant, with no say from them at all, but it hurts them in the process.

Unborn fetuses feel the physical pain that their mothers are enduring, and I believe that on some level, they feel some type of emotional pain as well. I believe that moving forward as a nation, and as a country, it is vital to vote for someone who is pro-life into the Supreme Court. It is understood that you individually do not have the power to think for others, and you simply cannot change their minds, but as President, you do have the power and responsibility to make sure everyone is heard. We are under your direction, and although this is a free country, that idea of freedom gets buried, especially when the argument is as controversial as abortion. If you can allow us to feel like our opinions and our morals are valid, then a lot of dark and heavy clouds can be raised in the United States.

It is a fact that 50% of Americans identify as pro-choice, whereas only 44% of Americans identify as pro-life, according to a recent polling group. Pro-Lifers typically believe that life begins at fertilization, and according to many scientific studies, this is proven to be true. In the textbook; before we are born: Essentials of Embryology, it directly states “the zygote and early embryo are living organisms.” Politically speaking, this may cause controversy, but scientifically speaking, there is no doubt when the human life begins. Arguably, Abortion is the killing of another human being, which defies the word of God (See Exodus 20:13, though shalt not kill.)

In closing, I believe that someone should be representing pro-life and not have all the focus on pro-choice. Both sides should be validated, and as president, it is your job to make sure they are.

Sincerely,

Kiya
