Treatment of the LGBTQ+ community
The treatment of the LGBTQ+ community is unfair and people need to feel safe in their own skin
Dear Donald Trump,
I would like to address the issue of how the LGBTQ+ community is treated and how that something needs to change. It's not fair that people are treated this way and it needs to stop as soon as possible.
On Friday June 26, 2015 same sex marriage was legalized in America. While the LGBTQ+ community were celebrating with pride, waving their rainbow flags and showing their true colors there are still people with much hatred toward them. Sadly, on June 12, 2016 a man opened fire at a gay night club in Orlando. This killed 49 people and left 53 badly injured. This happened when people were having a fun time and felt safe in the atmosphere they were in.
We need to make America a place where people feel safe about who they are, instead of hiding who you are and being scared of what is going to happen to them. America is supposed to be a place where people come away from places that they don't feel safe being themselves. But that's not true. People see two men holding hands and they look at them with disgust, some lash out, and some shake their hands and try to not eye contact.

We are all human. When will people realize that we are all going through hard times and we all need each others support? No matter what your sexuality or race is. So why does our sexuality change the way we look at each other? We all love somebody, so if someone loves someone who is the same sex as them why judge them.
