Foster Care

Too many children are being taken from there parents in America.

Dear future President,

There is so many issues in the U.S.A and there so many that could be fixed, but I think one of the main issues is foster care. I say this because children are taken away from there parents for the silliest things. I know this because I'm in foster care and I have been in it for six years. I'm 13 years old. DHS told me in August of 2016 that I would be able to go home and that has been my goal for almost my entire life. Yet again, like they always have done to me, they said that I couldn't go home after telling me I could. They said there needs to be more time and that they're going to move me to a closer foster home that is going to be closer to my family. But that hasn't happened yet they take forever to do everything. Foster care sucks and it's not normal to be in foster care for six years. This issue needs to be fixed.
