Why Racism??

Recently, in the U.S.A, African Americans have been treated very unfairly. Read on to see how and why.

Dear Future President,

Recently, in the U.S.A, African Americans have been treated very unfairly due to their race. This is a huge issue because African Americans have been fatally injured due to the negative assumptions of police. My opinion is that if people harm African Americans with no evidential reasoning, they should pay a serious consequence.

In a recent study, journalists have discovered that African Americans are 3.5 times more likely than whites to be fatally injured by police. I find that very sad considering most police have no valid reason to injure them. I can not believe that People of color use less drugs than whites but are still 6 times more likely to be searched for possession of drugs! It is terrifying to know that In New York City, about 85% of police pullovers are to colored citizens. Also, a white male with a criminal record is about 5% more likely to receive a job then an African American with a clean slate. I find it very upsetting that African Americans are treated this unfairly. It is not right and it is not acceptable.

These are just a few reasons why you should make the laws on racist cruelty and abuse a little more strict. Yes, Americans do have the right to believe what they want to, but some have taken it too far as to treat people unfairly due to the color of their skin. I highly recommend to tighten the laws of racist cruelty without having reasoning. This is an issue that must but stopped and with all due respect, I think it’s a necessity to tighten these laws.

Sincerely,

Adam
