Homelessness
35% of the homeless population are families with children.
October 11, 2016
Dear Future President,
I am writing to you because I am concerned about how many homeless people there are in the US. Think about how your life would be if you were homeless. You would never have a place to sleep, eat, or a shelter to live in.
" 35% of the homeless population are families with children." That means a lot of kids in the US will grow up without a home to live in. "15% of the homeless population are considered chronically homeless." They have either been homeless for a year or more or have had at least four episodes of homelessness in the last three years.
I think that if the US had more places for homeless people to stay then there would be a lot less homeless people. We also could start more donations or charities to give food and clothes to the homeless. I think that we could make a lot more shelters, donations, and charities to make life better for homeless people.
Sincerely,
Charlotte
