Police Brutality
Police is a very big issue that needs to be addresed
Dear Future President, October 20, 2016
Police brutality is an extreme issue in the United states, many riots are happening which are causing many state of emergencies and many innocent people are are dying. This problem affects the U.S because it causes this country not to have unity and trust between one another, especially the trust between police and citizens. I think police brutality is a very important situation because innocent people are dying and violence at riots are increasing. One case that gives an example of police brutality is when an innocent man was shot for doing what the police told him to do. The police of North Carolina claimed, that a person’s gesture or a certain behavior can be shown as an imminent threat under law in North Carolina, means that anyone can get shot for they way they appear or act. In addition to that riots are becoming out hand in results of shootouts, injuries and people dying.
However, as a president I think that you need to help develop laws about police brutality and fairness. If you help make these laws, a lot of people’s lives would be saved and riots would end, which would stop state of emergencies. This would also restore unity and trust amongst others in the US. Overall, I think this is an issue that needs to be addressed. Sincerely,
Desiree' J.
