Dear Future President,

My name is Ethan, and I attend high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Today I would like to talk about something that is very important in todays world. Abortion is one of the highly debated topics in 2016. Abortion, in my opinion, should be considered illegal, with some exception. You are killing a living baby that is fully functional and you are crushing it. If you want to get an abortion you should get it early on during the pregnancy. Although if you are raped,as in some cases, I personally think that it is alright to get a abortion, although it does not morally justify abortion.

 When the baby hits the 8+ week mark of pregnancy, it feels real physical pain. So if you want to get an abortion it should be done before the 8+ week mark, but that is still not an excuse. In the United States, about half of all pregnancies are unintended, and 1.21 million abortions are performed each year. That is about 100,000 abortions per month. Although the abortion percentages have been decreasing every year. About half of all pregnancies in the U.S. are unintended, and about 4 in 10 women get these abortions. 

Abortion is very bad, and I don't think no women should do it, unless they are rape or another case. It is technically killing a live human being. That is why it should be illegal and be considered murder. I would like to hear your opinion on this future president. Thank you for serving as the president as it is a very hard job to handle, thank you.
