Everyone in America works hard, they deserve a higher minimum wage

A higher minimum wage helps a lot of people in the United States. People are not happy with the minimum wage.

Dear President of the United States,

A lot of immigrants when they come to the United States, they work for the minimum wage. It’s hard, you have to do physical work and it’s not like an office job. The minimum wage may be enough money for one person to survive on, but it’s very tough for two or three people in a family. Everyone in America works hard, they deserve a higher minimum wage.

According to 1994 report which compared a fast food restaurant workers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, they both had same wages then resturant in New Jersey raised the minimum wage and they begin to see the change as New Jersey restaurant workers did better and they keep improving their skills. When you raise the minimum wage, people actually will be happy and work better. Also they will have better chance of getting job. So America can always be happy and do better job and the economy would be improved. According to an article called "Government officials and experts think a $15 minimum wage is a good idea," right now a few people make a lot of money. Many others make very little. A higher minimum wage will help poor people. It will help poor people and it will give them better life and more opportunity. If they have more money they will pay more taxes. Yes, lots of people are unhappy for their wage not going up. In last 25 years, some companies and a few rich people have made large amounts of money and everyone else has made very little and for some people, it is not fair. So a higher minimum wage would help make things equal. Government figures show that about 6 out of 10 people make less than 15 dollars an hour. That's 44 million people. If the minimum wage goes up to 15 dollars, those people will see their pay go up.

Everyone in America works hard, they deserve a higher minimum wage. So people working should always be happy and your job is to keep them happy. Now lots of people are not happy. So I hope you try to fix this issue.

Sincerely,

Mashhur Olimjonov
