Dear President of United States.
I’m a student from 12th grade at Brooklyn International. I like to mention one of the most important themes in the U.S. The taxes are increased each year and the money used by the government to pay their things. This theme needs your attention because the most money goes to the rich people to make their life more comfortable and they don’t pay taxes. The people in the middle class need it because they don’t have enough money.
In the last 4 years, Obama was helping with the problem of taxes, because most of the American people take a survey. That survey shows the taxes are not fair to the middle class because the taxes increase more and more each year. According to an article called “State of the Union: Obama proposes to tax the rich, help the middle class”: “The money from the taxes would be used to help the middle class. Middle-class Americans would pay fewer taxes. It would also be easier for them to go to college because community college would be free.”(Newsela). Also this quote connects to the last democratic debate in Las Vegas. “Right now, the wealthy pay too little,” Hillary Rodham Clinton said at the debate in Las Vegas, “and the middle class pays too much.” (Newsela). In the quote said, the president Obama in this 4 years, he tried to make the people pay the taxes equal and his solutions is to make the rich people pay taxes and for that money go to invest in the college for the students.
In these years also Obama helped the middle class. “Much of the new taxes and fees would be used to make life more affordable for the middle class. Some families would have to pay less in taxes if both parents work.” (Newsela). As the quote says, the people who are in the middle we can change the taxes increase by do that if in the family are two people who pay taxes. Obama help to change this to in the family has to pay one member of the family and this helps the middle class.“The only upside of the concentration of the wealth at the top is that they have more money to pay in taxes,” “A 35 percent share produces $176 billion — roughly the amount that the Federal Highway Administration has estimated is needed each year to improve conditions significantly on major urban highways.” In the quote say the rich people don’t want their money going to pay taxes. The second quote that means if all the population collaborates to pay taxes, they can improve the conditions of the country and the major urban highways.
In my opinion, we can change the taxes. All people in the country have to pay some amount of taxes or the people who are rich has to pay little more. That money can help with the benefits of the country, also that money can be invested in college so the students who can’t pay can improve their careers and help the education to make our country better.
