Flashing Lights (poem/song)
It's about crooked cops and how most of us see the killings yet we don't take action.
Flashing Lights
Mr. crooked cop, I came to take your spot
Hand me your badge and glock, and everything you got
Your villainous acts were in fact devilish
I wish to abolish the power you posses
So give your job a goodbye kiss
We got word from a Witness, said you took the life of an innocent kid
Families sob for their loved ones, may they rest in peace with the rest
Never considered arrest, just aimed for the chest
I wonder who you aiming for next
Young Joseph laid there helpless
With 5 holes full of bullets
And I’m wondering if there’s any hope left
Truth is, he was defenseless
The only contact was the bullet from your gat, and I don’t see the justice in that
Now a mother is left without a son
Knowing his life was taken from a hero’s gun
You can’t undo what you’ve done
The ed embedded in ya head has won
Together we must stand as one
Before the world becomes cold under the dying sun
Show me the light that shines bright
The days get colder than the sleepless night
Fools get tucked in tight, it ain’t fuckin right, man who wants to live this life (2x)
The world that i be livin in is bone chillin
feelin like we lost control of the wheel and the devil is steerin
The hero and the villain switched roles, now the cops killin
They get away with the killin, it irks my nerves like a tooth fillin
