Equality Matters

Equality Matters

Dear Future President,

There is one thing I feel can be improved and that's equality for all. It has been said that America is a free country that "serves liberty and justice for all", but in reality different cultures are being degraded.  After all the years of fighting off slavery and it's stench, there are still many unspoken provisions that take place to support inequality. Yes, every one is entitled to their opinion, but it seems as, if your not Caucasian, you have to work harder for less, gravel, assimilate, and accept less in order to create a path for success. Society's meaning of equality differs from it's actions. The rules that are implemented on the front side are not being upheld behind closed doors. It appears that certain rules are set up for certain minorities which brings about disadvantages. This conflict ties into the question, "Where does equality come in?" This issue has been thrown to the side but rarely over looked. I can almost guarantee that there are people from every race that disagrees, because this is a conflict that doesn't want to be brought to light-the privileged protect their privilege.
