This letter is about why we should not have our guns taken away and how we could maybe fix it.

Dear Future President,

The issue I would like to address is the 2nd Amendment. I think it is wrong to take it away. It is one of our many rights we have as Americans. I understand that there is a problem with guns because of things like school shootings, but taking away guns isn't going to solve the problem. People will either find guns or make there own and if they don't do that they could move to bigger things like bombs.

There has been many shootings but guns don't kill people, people kill people. And that's why if they are taken away it won't stop them, guns are not the problem some of the people that get them are. Therefore we should maybe monitor who can buy guns and own them. If they have had a bad record in the past don't let them buy one. It won't stop people from getting them but it will decrease the amount that do. And could possibly decrease the amount of shootings.

I think a good idea for this problem would be to put some kind of control on who can get guns but not take them away from everyone. People use guns for self defense and are something that is needed.

Sincerely, Robert W
