Child Abuse Need To Stop

Child abuse need to be stop. You can help help by speaking up.

Dear Next President,

People think child abuse is just bruised or broken bones. But there is way more to it than that, Next President. There is neglect and emotional abuse.Physical abuse leaves scars.Neglect and emotional abuse leave scars too,but researchers say emotional abuse leaves a lifetime of scars, even more than physical abuse and neglect.

Child Abuse needs to stop. Maybe if you put more money into places that parents can go to when they feel like they need to calm down from exploding. 68% of male felons in jail reported they were abused before the age of 12 years old. They grew up on that, so it’s what they know how to do.If there was a place for parents to calm down, maybe they would not resort to abuse.

Maybe that would make a happier society.People would go to work. There would be more jobs for people. But, are you,Next President going to help make a change?

A lot of children who were abused try to take the pain away with drugs and alcohol and smoke. So, they get picked up and go to jail and rehab.I feel they repeat the cycle of abuse because they want other people to experience their pain. When no one would help them, they want people to experience what they feel.

If child abuse stops, we all won’t have to spend a lot of money on hospitals and rehab and jails.Adults who were abused as children repeat the cycle of abuse BECAUSE they grew up with it and that's all they know,.AND they were put aside so they did not get help they needed. They need help and you, Next president, cannot put them to the side.

Help us.

Sincerely,

Emily
