Abortion

The laws on abortion needs to be changed.

Dear Next President,

Abortion has become a real problem in the United States. 890 thousand (and counting) unborn babies have been aborted so far during 2016 in the United States alone. Since 1980, 1 billion 431 million (and counting) unborn babies have been aborted worldwide.

Some people might say that it could cause a woman harm to go through childbirth. They might also say that woman wouldn’t want to go through with the pregnancy because she was sexually assaulted. Another reason people might say that a woman wouldn't want to go through with the pregnancy is because she is not financially able. While that is true, you could always put your child up for adoption, so you won't have to have an abortion.

There are so many unborn children being aborted in the US, and it is extremely sad and it hurts to think about. All of those children could turn into extremely smart people. They could help better the world we are living in now. If those children were born, imagine the amazing things they might do. They could find new places for the human race to live. They could invent new machines for the human race. There are so many things they could do.

Lastly, I believe that it is just unfair to do such a thing to a poor unborn baby. It was not the child's fault that it was created. Many children are aborted at 20 weeks. According to the babycenter website, at 20 weeks a baby in the womb is about 10 inches. At that size, an unborn baby does have a heart, and it does beat. As Bernard N. Nathanson, MD says: “We see [in an ultrasound image] the child’s mouth open in a silent scream… This is the silent scream of a child threatened imminently with extinction.”

I don’t think that abortions should be completely removed, but just harder to get, because it is so easy for woman to become pregnant and then get an abortion. So please make abortions harder to get.

Sincerely,

Seth
