Financial Aid
As a citizen of the United States, it sincerely concerns me that college tuition is very high and very unreasonable.
Dear Future President,
I would like to begin by saying, welcome to office and congratulations on your achievements. As a citizen of the United States, it sincerely concerns me that college tuition is very high and very unreasonable. Considering that 14.5 percent of the United States is considered to be in a state of poverty, more financial aid should be available.
People may argue that colleges and universities offer a financial aid system, but others may also argue that the requirements for financial aid are extremely difficult to meet. Students who are unable to qualify for financial aid due to their parents' six-digit income are being left out. Financial aid is inconsiderate of the issues that those students might be facing. For example, they might have one or more siblings in a costly education system, or their family may not make enough to sustain healthy living conditions while paying college debts.
It is unfair for the students to be at a disadvantage because of their parents' success. Their parents may be able to financially support their family and the lifestyle they live, but considering that college and university fees are very large and exponentially growing to this day, you should consider adjusting financial expectations and consider all factors in the Financial Aid program.
Thank you for your time,
Shane N. Ev.
