The Criminal Justice System is in charge of prosecuting, defending and sentencing those who are suspected or have commit crimes. They have complete control over making or breaking one's life. The system itself is not fair to all people, it is more bias than anything.

To The Next President,

The Criminal Justice System is bias in favor of white male individuals with more money. They put them up on a pedestal and show them that they can do what they want because their skin and amount of money and by the judge calling all the shots us people feel like we can’t do anything to fix that. They play the justice system like a game, they’re too busy worried about what will happen to their game piece in jail instead of justice. The judge can make any call they want on a case as far as the sentencing for a crime goes, they can shorten your time drastically or you might not have jail time at all.

Lately this problem has been occurring more with rape crimes. For example a woman that was raped at Stanford University by a star swimmer at the school got no justice. Her rapist was found guilty but the judge felt like the young male “wasn’t made for jail” but who is? He was sentenced to 3 months max but he didn’t complete his full time. Her rapist now walks the streets again and is an example to other white males with his similarities that they can commit crimes of that severity too and not get a big penalty. There are people who go to jail for child support or even possession of a weapon that go to jail for a longer time than him but he’s a rapist.

The justice system really needs help. How would you feel if your daughter was raped but didn’t get justice just because the man that did it is put on a pedestal by the judge. This can’t go on any long because if it does the people will take matters into their own hands and get their own justice. I believe with more laws for each crime should be produced. For example their is a mandatory minimum for that crime if found guilty.

The Criminal Justice System is bias in favor of white males with money and as our president i hope you can change that and make it easier to get crocked judges out of a job. Instead of more dividing in the world fixing this area of problem would make us one step closer to bringing the people together.
