Police Brutality
its about how nothing changed since way back in the day
Dear Future President
I hope you really do something about the police brutality. My name is Ryan and I go to Jefferson high school in Portland Oregon.I really think it's getting out of control, just yesterday i watched a clip. A cop stomp on this mans face. It was terrible, I seen another where a man was shot in front of his daughter and that terrible. Seeing your father or just someone period getting shot on front of of eyes is just terrible.
I read on the Wikipedia that police brutality has been happening since early 1872. That’s a long time, and it hasn’t changed. It needs to asap! On Huffpost police brutality, a video of a policer who slammed a pregnant lady. A PREGNANT WOMEN! AND TAZED HER!! Not only is it not safe for the mother. It’s seriously dangerous to the baby , witnesses in the video said she didn’t do anything, and there were at least 10 police officers at the scene for only 2 people, I don’t think there should be that many officers for 2 people who didn’t do anything.
“ I don’t want to kneel forever” - Colin Kaepernick. Colin Kaepernick sat during the national anthem during a game because of police brutality and what the Star Spangled banner by Francis scott key sept 13. 1814. After a while when colin kaepernick started the movement. It got around and some other teams have been doing the same. I feel like everybody sees the issue but can’t explain it or they’re scared to express it.
I know you have seen the videos. Where people were done wrong by the cops, a pregnant lady was killed in front of her child , because the mother had a health issue and a friend called a cop to go check on her, well the cop did more than check on her. Popped her right in front of her kid and died with a kid inside her, we all see the problem but I don't see a lot of change.
"They are symptomatic of the broader challenges within our criminal justice system, the racial disparities that appear across the system year after year, and the resulting lack of trust that exists between law enforcement and too many of the communities they serve." Was said by Barack Obama, police brutality is just making three communities not trust our officers who swore to serve and protect. I'm not gunna lie , I have met a lot of decent cops , but I've encountered way too many that have tried to put a gun to my back and threatened to blow my shoulder off, I didn't even do nothing. I was walking home , but I guess he didn't like the way I was talking so he pinned me down with other like 2 other cops , so I guess I was resisting arrest so they pointed a gun to my shoulder, and said calm down. I was calm , I didn't know how to be calmer than calm. I'm not that scared for me because I've had a couple bad contacts with cops , I'm scared for my brothers, they have mouths so I'm scared they talk wrong to a cop they gone get popped in the chest. But pleas future president! Help us change this police brutality thing that have been happening since forever.
Sincerely Ryan
