The problem with gun violence

Gun violence needs to be stopped

Dear next president,

I am a concerned U.S citizen here to talk to you about gun violence. This is a terrible thing in america. About 48 people are killed by guns EVERY day! Imagine if one of your loved ones were them! From Jan. 1, 2016 to Feb. 23, 2016, there were 27 mass shootings!!! From 1968 to 2011 1.4 million people have been killed by guns! That is a serious problem. How would you feel if your loved one was killed while they did not do anything to harm anybody?

Thousands of people are killed each year from guns, probably most of them are American citizens. These people who are losing their lives are completely innocent, so they do not deserve it at all. Kids like me are shot every day, while their parents do not know how to live without you. Mr. or Mrs. president, we need you to ban guns from normal U.S citizens. That will almost completely lower the kill rate for gun violence. America is soon going to be like hell, full of fire and police sirens. There are 129,817 firearm dealers in the U.S! Between 2006 and 2010 almost 50,000 people were murdered by firearms!

Thank you people who are reading this, we need this violence to stop.

SINCERELY,

Charlie Cohen, age ten; a concerned little citizen
