Dear President, 

What if you were born in a country where you did not have freedom and you wanted to live in a better environment? Well that’s what the United States is for. Immigrants should be able to come to the United States with open arms. The United States should be honored that people are willing to risk everything to be in our country. They risk everything because they need to help and protect their children from going down the wrong path or just being in a safe and better place.

Undocumented immigrants come for work to support themselves and their families. They impact the U.S. because they are a big help to our economy. Legalizing the 11 million undocumented immigrants in the United States would boost the nation’s economy. The tax revenues would increase, According to Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, “The 11 million undocumented immigrants currently living in the United States collectively paid $11.6 billion in state and local taxes." U.S. employers need to legalize immigrants as a work force because the U.S. will benefit from reliable and skilled laborers, and a legalization program would ensure that they have them. Also young undocumented immigrants would add billions to the economy if they gain legal status. Do you understand how beneficial undocumented immigrants can be?

Although illegal immigration is often considered a negative impact to the U.S., research has shown that illegal immigrants are a big help to the U.S. economy. Listen, some people believe that illegal immigrants just equal gang violence, and they are lazy, but I can refute that because numerous illegal immigrants came to the U.S. for better jobs and to take care of their families. 

Many of these immigrants move to the U.S. because Mexico is facing a variety of national problems. How big of the problems you asked? According to numbeo ,"Crime increased in the past 3 years. people using or dealing drugs 66.78, property crimes such as vandalism and theft 73.49, violent crimes such as assault and armed robbery 76.81." Who wants to live around this environment when you have to look over your shoulders. The next president needs to help.

The next president needs to have open arms and should be able to help these people who want to come to the United States. We should not stop people who are going to help our economy. We should not stop these people from paying taxes. They are helping us and they are helping themselves as well. So next president make the right decision of helping out these illegal immigrants.
