Should there be more Sex Education classes

Sex education should be taught more. This letter explains why i think so.

Dear Future President,

I believe that sex education should be paid more attention to because there is a big majority of students that are being impregnated but at a young age of “14 through 20.” Some of these students are in 9th grade through college and this can be controlled by teaching how to be more protective. Kids are getting diseases like HIV and STI because they do not know how to protect themselves. “ Each year there are about 850,000 pregnancies” as it says in (Advocates for Youth). I believe the SD’s (School District’s) should make more classes for sex education.

I think that you should change the SD’s classes for sex ed to a longer time or more classes. I also think that you should change what the teachers or assistants teach in the classes because there are lots of kids that feel like they don’t learn anything. “ By age 18, 70% of the U.S. females and 64 persent males…” (Advocates for Youth) have had sex and half of those females were pregnant soon after but you can prevent this by making better classes. I think that you should make programs that can teach how to prevent from getting diseases. These can help with ideas and to show what’s happening because there are not a lot of classes.

I believe that sex education should be paid more attention to because there is a big majority of students that are being impregnated. I think that we should do something about this because all of the children that are pregnant can not focus on school or college but instead they are focused on their child. They also can’t focus on getting a job and you they need a job to for what the baby needs. It is hard on the guys to because they are worrying about their girlfriend. That is why we need better teaching, larger periods of time in each sex ed class, and more classes.

Sincerely,

Cesar Cervantes
