I'm a 15 year old girl ,that can barely take care of myself. Much less take care of a baby. Many young girl's are having to face this huge responsibility because they are getting pregnant. In 2014, a total of 249,078 babies were born to woman aged 15-19.I feel like a huge reason why so many teens are getting pregnant is because they do not really know about sex. I know teens shouldn't be having sex in the first place, but they are going to do it regardless. So we might as well educate them on how to have safe sex. Even if it is just a one semester class offered at schools , it could have a huge impact on helping decrease teen pregnancy. Not only would a health class reduced pregnancy, it would also lower the percentage of teens getting a Sexually Transmitted Disease.The number of new infections is roughly equal among teen girls (51%) and teen guys (49%).
