Dear Next President,

A major issue that troubles the world today is gun control. Many lives each year are taken by these guns. To be exact 100,000 people in the U.S is shot every year. "Background on Gun Control." OnTheIssues. N.p., n.d. Web. 04 Nov. 2016.President did you know iniscent children are being shot and or shooting themselves with these guns? Why do they hurt us but don't protect us? Every year close to 1,500 children die by guns. I know being the President you are you wouldn´t want this to prolong any longer. I believe we should set certain restrictions that someone has to meet in order to carry. For example taking a 4 week class on gun safety, background checks, mental health test,limit on number of guns,child protection and many other ideas.

Now President many people are going to argue Amendment II. This amendment has been used and abused because everyone can't be trusted with guns. These days you have to question people and making sure they are licensed. In June 2016 at a gay nightclub in Orlando,FL a massacre occurred. I know you´ve seen protest about the L.G.B.T people. This horrible act done by Omar Mateen came from hate for people who are in the L.G.B.T community. 49 were killed and 53 were injured on this night. Web. 21 Oct. 2016.I know I wouldn't want careless people like this with guns.

Over the past years murders,suicides, and accidental deaths have gone to a all time high. For example in 2016 there were 31,959 accidental deaths in the U.S. "Accidents or Unintentional Injuries." In order to reduce less deaths in this world real work will have to be put in. This is a major issue that troubles the world today. I really hope this issue improves for the better so people like me don´t have to worry everyday about getting shot. Thank for taking the time out of your busy day to read my letter Mr.President !
