Legalize Abortion In All States

To the future Mr. or Madam President of the United States of America, Dear Mr. or Madam President congratulations on becoming the new President of the United States of America. Since the 1970’s there has been over 58 million performed abortions in America. 58 million different woman. 58 million different options whether to keep or terminate of the fetus. There are many states that deny women the right to perform an abortion. There are many doctors that have the right to choose if they want to give a patient what they ask for. In your first 100 days of presidency I want you to sign legislation that protects women's right to choose, because women should never get denied the right to choose the future of their child, and sign legislation to make abortion legal in all states. There are many different reasons women choose to have abortions, there was a survey taken in 1987 and the biggest reason that women have abortions was that they’re not ready/ poor timing. The second biggest reason is that some women can’t afford a baby, third: women are finished with childbearing, fourth: lack of maturity, fifth: School or career issues. Giving a woman who has requested an abortion helps them in a multitude of ways, they feel that they aren’t ready or they have more living to do before they take on the full-time position of being responsible for a newborn. Many other people that are pro-life argue that abortion is a waste of time and money and that every child has the right to get a chance in life. Colorado, North and South Dakota, Oklahoma,Texas, Kansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana make abortion illegal after a certain point in time over the pregnancy. These states and more have “trigger laws” that make abortion illegal within the first and second trimester during the pregnancy. According to Planned Parenthood an abortion by pill costs between $300-$800 and abortion by medicaid can cost almost $500. The reported ages in which women have abortions are 15-32 years of age. Each and every woman has the right to choose if there baby lives or dies, if everyone was ready to tackle the responsibility to handle a child then abortion would not exist. Yes, we are talking about killing a child, but I would rather abort my child because I am not ready to handle responsibility than be someone who couldn’t handle the responsibility enough to give my child the best of luck in life. To you Mr. or Madam President I commend you on becoming the new President of the United States of America and I hope that you realize the situation and respond. Every woman has the right to request an abortion and receive it in any state and that no one can say no to any woman if eligible to receive requested abortion. All women should have the right to choose and determine the future of their child. Work cited: "2016 Abortion Death Toll Statistics for USA." 2016 Abortion Death Toll Statistics for USA. N.p., n.d.
