Is Our Education Good Enough?

Lots of kids today are very fortunate and can acquire lots of things, although others aren't. Some kids in the United States of America can't get an education, or at least a good one. So how are we going to change this? How are we going to get less fortunate children get an education?

                                                   Is Our Education Good Enough?

Dear Next President,

There are many problems and responsibilities presidents have to deal with each and every year. Many can be very serious, or something's not so much. One problem I believe you are going to have to deal with is education. Lots of kids in the United States get good educations, but lots don’t. A few educational problems you are going to have to deal with includes of how are we going to educate people who can’t afford it? How are we going to better our schools? And lastly how are we going to educate kids when they got punished and missed something?

First off is how are we going to educate people who can’t afford it? Many people around the world and in the United States get well educated, but many don’t. Lots of kids are born into families that aren't as fortunate as others, and can’t afford an education. Although some kids make bad decisions and they end up not being able to go get an education or not being able to afford an education. We need to make a system where kids who aren’t in the best places or who can’t afford an education get to go to school and learn.

Also how are we going to better our schools? Some people get to go to school and get educated, which is great, but some places it is not good enough. For example if if a kid goes to school where it is not a safe environment to learn or the people there are bad influences. What we need to try to do is make sure all schools have a safe and bearable environment to be around. So kids can learn happily from teachers who care about the child, and what they are being taught.

Lastly is how are we going to educate kids when they got punished and missed something? Many kids around the United States daily are getting punished for doing something bad in school or outside. These consequences can lead to kids having to do nothing in school, or even miss school. Now I am not saying that kids should not be punished for something they did wrong, but they shouldn’t have to miss out on an education that could highly benefit them later in their lives. So I believe that instead of kids having to miss school and miss learning time on possibly something very important, they could sit in the principal's office during lunch, or have an afterschool detention, but not miss school hours.

There are many problems presidents will have to deal with every year, like education. Making sure kids get an education, have a safe learning environment, and are getting the right amount of school hours where they get to learn. There are many problems you will have to deal with, but I hope you consider these problems and solutions.

Sincerely, Jake
