Letter to the Next President

A Question of Foreign Policy...

Dear Mr/Mrs. President,

America is one of the most influential nations in the world; in times of trouble our nation is looked upon for guidance and we're the first to help those in need. Being the President of the United States means you are the leader of the free world therefore in charge of leading this influential nation. It is of the utmost importance that you are able to work with the leaders of other countries and be able to handle yourself professionally on a global scale. Establishing lasting relationships with other nations across the world will help not only this generation but many generations to come have the opportunity to travel abroad and to live in a world without the fear of being attacked by enemies. Instead of fighting nations that oppose us, we should focus on building the relationships that we currently have with our allies and to acquire new relationships with smaller and younger nations that would benefit both countries immensely. You have just been given one of the most challenging jobs in the world and the success or failure of this country in the next four years lies in your hands. I hope you are able to move our country forward and better us and the world as a whole.

Sincerely,

Meghan O'Donnell
