Issues in Foreign Policy

There are several issues among the immigration system in the United States.

Dear Mr. / Mrs. President,

There are more than eleven million undocumented people living in the United States. This is a major issue among our nation. There is nothing wrong with immigrants settling in the United States legally. Our country was built and founded by immigrants. However, too many of those migrating to the United States are doing so illegally.

There are many ways to approach and solve the issue of illegal immigration. We must enhance our border control, in order to prevent those from sneaking into the United States illegally. One of the main reasons why people sneak into America is to transport illegal drugs and substances. Currently, our border control cannot effectively prevent illegal immigration. Thus the reason, there are currently over eleven million illegal immigrants within our country. By enhancing our border control we can prevent the spreading of drugs into our country, which is also a major current issue. Another way we can prevent illegal immigration is to make it easier for immigrants to enter our country legally. As a country we must promote immigration legally. One characteristic of the United States that makes it so great is the cultural diversity.

Sometimes the truth is difficult to understand. The reality is that there are over eleven million undocumented immigrants within the United States. We must enforce the law. Hence, these illegal immigrants must either be deported from our country or must properly go through the process to become an American citizen. There is no other way around it. The issue is that this mass deportation will result in major problems economically. In order to avoid these future problems we must fully support immigrants using the citizenship program. However, the current citizenship program is flawed and must be fixed. It is too difficult and expensive for one to become a U.S. citizen. Therefore, too many immigrants are entering the United States illegally because they do not have the funds to pay the application and attorney fees. Overall, the citizenship program needs change. If we want to prevent illegal immigration we must make it easy to immigrate legally.

In conclusion, I hope you take to heart the the present issues among the immigration system and make change. I wish you the best of luck as you continue your future of the President of the United States.

Respectfully yours,

Cade Robinson
