Dear Future President
A letter about a controversial issue and why I think it should change.
Dear Future President,
I am writing this letter to inform you on something that I think should be talked about more. This is abortion, specifically in Idaho. Abortion is legal in some places in Idaho, but I think it should be banned altogether.
Abortion is the process of killing the fetus inside the womb in order to prevent the woman from having to give birth. It can be done in different ways; one that involves using tools to take apart the fetus and removing the body parts from inside the woman's body.
In 2012, the U.S. abortion ratio was 210 abortions per 1,000 live births in the reporting area. The number of abortions in 2012 decreased 31,120 (-4.3 percent) from 2011, for which 730,322 abortions were reported from the same 49 reporting areas. There are many abortions happening here; many babies being lost because their mothers refuse to raise their child.
I believe it is very unethical and it should not be done. Abortion is a sensitive topic to my family. We have lost a family member, against our will, to abortion. I will do everything I can to stop abortion from happening, and I hope you can help too.
