The Rising Cost of College

The cost of college is rising fast, what can you do to help?

September 19, 2016

Dear Future President of the United States,

I believe that everyone deserves a chance to go to college even if their financial situation is not good.

As president it will be your duty to help and listen to the citizens of the U.S.A. You should care about the problem of the cost of higher education because the people elected you as president because they believe in you. Also there are many great minds in the world that may be deprived of the chance to go to college because they cannot afford it.

As president, you can help stop the rapidly rising tuition rates of college by transferring money going into the military to colleges so they will not cost as much. According to the National Priorities Project, only 6% (70 billion) of funding is going to education while 54% (598.5 billion) is going to the military. That is a 528.5 billion dollar difference.

We are looking for a president that is willing to help people succeed in life. A leader who shows that they care. We are inspired by a person who is willing to make a difference. Are you this person?

Sincerely,

Eliza
