Illegal Immigrants

Illegal immigrants are costing the U.S. money and our jobs.

Dear Next President,

Congratulations on winning this past election! It was a tough one to win, and I hope you’re doing well! My name is Jackson Loomis and there is a problem that I would like to address. Illegal immigrants are taking our jobs and costing us, the United States, trillions of dollars.

A couple of solutions of the problem could be to figure out where most of them are coming from. Done! Most are coming from Mexico. In order for an immigrant to even enter the U.S., they should have to take their tests to become citizens, and take their oaths back in their country, and show evidence to Border Patrol officers that they can live in the U.S. To get rid of the ones that we already have, we should force them to take the test or get them out.

According to ICE (The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement), only 235,413 immigrants were removed from our country. That’s not enough considering that Immigrants make up about 26% of the United States population. That is ridiculous to me.

The only thing to worry about is how you enforce the law. What I think you should do is to send letter to every house. If they are LEGAL U.S citizens, have them discard it or send it back. If they are an immigrant, especially an illegal one, have them fill out some forms and send them back. If they don’t send it back, an investigation should be conducted. I think that this will ensure that we not only get more citizens, but also get rid of illegal ones.

In conclusion, President, I think you should consider this. I think it would be good to get rid of illegal immigrants. It gives more U.S citizens a chance to get a job. It would also cost us less money.

Sincerely,

Jackson Loomis
