Guns in America

Dear next president, I'm a sophomore at Belgrade High School. I feel that there are too many guns in America. There are always accidents with guns every single day. We as human beings can stop some shootings by making more gun laws. If gun sellers/dealers were to background check ech and everyone that wants to buy a gun then there would be a decrease in gun shootings and accidents. A background check or background investigation is the process of looking up and compiling criminal records, commercial records and financial records of an individual or an organization. People wouldn't like it but it is more safe than having the government take them away. If the government tries to take our guns away a lot more people would die. I for one would fight back against the government trying to take away my guns. Now I know that I'm only 15 and I don't have a say in law but at least I care about our population. I'm sure that the government will be shortened a lot if they tried to take our guns. There have also been a lot of suicides and homicides in the U.S. Mentally ill people mostly have these problems of killing themselves and killing other people. Sincerely, Colby Glasgow
