Police brutality

There is many problems but I am here to focus on one, on police brutality. Police need to know that the first thing to do is not to shoot. They assume, shoot ,and then families lose a member. I personally think all police should be brought together, teach them how much damage they are doing to family by pulling the trigger. Families do not deserve to have someone taken away from them by a bullet.

Dear Future President,

Hi, I write you this today because there is many problems but I am here to focus on one. Recently there has been too much Police brutality, I would say. There is a lot of attention on the object by why has there not been anything to stop it? What will get your attention? There has been protests off of the families who have lost beloved ones because of this. And people who are not related to the person still come and protest because it is important to stop this as soon as possible. Police need to know that the first thing to do is not to shoot. They assume, shoot ,and then families lose a member. We do not want this, no one wants this, so why are police doing this? It should be stopped, they seem to just be shooting whomever. Before someone is “punished” with death, they deserve the right to explain what went on.

Today I see on the internet how many people have been shot by a police just because they “looked suspicious”. I see the hashtag #Blacklivesmatter, and I totally agree. But not only them but every life matters. We are all human, all with family, and we all would love to be treated equally. Why should the color of our skin matter? We all have the right to what anything else anyone else has. Just because we are minorities or not, does not mean anything. So why do police seem to see it this way?

I personally think all police should be brought together, teach them how much damage they are doing to family by pulling the trigger. Families do not deserve to have someone taken away from them by a bullet. I do not think police understand we are all humans. We all have kind souls, I know it but the police seems to take the color of our skin and make it something else. Why should the color of our skin effect how someone treats us. Is this their way of showing us we mean nothing to them? Do they really think colors matter?

We already live in a cruel world where death awaits us, so why would they take away our lives sooner? Many children could have lost their parents from this, I would think. And I feel so sorry for them because while they have one I have both, it should not be that way. The police do not seem to realize that they are not just affecting one life, but many. The families all over losing members to this. Any child could walk out of their door right now, waving bye to their parents as they enter the school bus but what is that was the last bye they said? Not only children but they honestly need to think who they are affecting. They are just causing more deaths.

They should be known for saving lives not killing them. In the website https://thinkprogress.org/this-is-how-many-people-police-have-killed-so-far-in-2016-7f1aec6b7098#.w9lxx6hfb titled This is how many people police have killed so far in 2016 by Celisa Calacal it states, “........ This number comes from The Guardian’s police killings database, but the Killed by Police database counts 939 people who have died at the hands of police so far this year. The Washington Post reports that 776 people have been shot and killed by cops”(https://thinkprogress.org/this-is-how-many-people-police-have-killed-so-far-in-2016-7f1aec6b7098#.w9lxx6hfb ). The year seems to almost be done but it is not, they seem to be another reason for death causes to me. They seem to be doing this so easily. If they can do it so easily then they can stop it so easily.

Be the one who stops this, the one who opens the eyes to all that under our skin color we are all the same, the one who helps future families stick together and the one to become our hero. Stop this, before humanity completely dies. Save humanity, make us all realize we can change, and change for the good. I know we can, so help the rest realize that we are all human, with love and care to give. We can all take one step and we can all change. Change the views of all, for just because some are darker, does not make them different.

Please and Thank you for taking your time to read this,
