Police brutality on black lives matter
Police brutality and racial inequality have been major issues this year. BLM is a big problem that needs to be addressed.
Dear future president,
The president and the future presidents need to create a border to guarantee the protection of African Americans because of the racial inequality and the brutality against African Americans in this country.
Racial inequality is brutal in this country because the police officers aren’t doing anything such as firing or demeaning their officers who are brutal toward black people.
An unarmed African-American man is seven times more likely to be killed by American police than an unarmed white man. The majority of American police officers who were killed were killed by white men. Not one of these deaths of African Americans killed by police officers has ever resulted in the arresting of a police officer or prison guard. Blacks are the only ones getting killed by police, or they are killed more.
The police brutality toward black people is incredibly horrible because in July of 2016, the number of black people killed by officers was 123.
"Blacks are shot and killed by police officers at a higher rate than white people”.According to Quartz Magazine, police have killed almost twice as many white as black Americans.Black people are at three times as high as a risk of dying from police officers as white people.
People need to take it to a higher network to deal with these police officers that are supposed to be out here protecting people when they are out here hurting people because African Americans don’t feel safe toward the brutal police officers.
African- Americans are scared to go up to police officers wondering if they will get shot or killed. Black people kill more other blacks than Police do, and there are only protests when a cop kills a black man. University of Toledo criminologist Dr. Richard R. Johnson looked over the crime data from the FBI's Homicide Reports for Disease Control and found that an average of 4,472 black men were killed by other black men annually between Jan. 1, 2009, and Dec. 31, 2012. 112 black men died from both justified and unjustified police-involved killings during the same time period.
The president needs to do something about the black lives matter campaign to ensure the safety of African Americans. It could range from putting body cams on the police officers to have a clear view of killings or shootouts, or it could be arresting police who are brutal toward African Americans. African Americans should be treated with respect like every human should be treated. Racial inequality and police brutality toward black Americans is unacceptable and needs to be fixed. I want African Americans to feel secure when they walk outside. I want them to not feel judged based on the color of their skin. I want them to be proud of their equal rights.
