Immigration Reforms

Immigration is a debatable topic. It’s controversial and a lot of people have different opinions about it. Here’s mine, i think we should have an immigration reform for illegal immigrants and their families. It could be a win-win situation not only for the immigrants but also for our nation.

Dear Next President

I would like to congratulate you on winning the elections. I’m sure it wasn’t easy and you put in all your efforts to win. I know your job isn’t easy and I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my letter, because I put in a lot of thought and effort into this and would really appreciate if something's done about this situation.I would like to talk to more about immigration reforms.

People always tend to believe that immigration is an issue that has no solution because they can’t fix the faults that are in our immigration system. Immigrations reforms should be available for immigrants living in The United States. It would be very much appreciated if immigrants could get a working permit and a licence so they can start paying bills and go around hunting for jobs, especially if they have a family to take care of.

Today, there are 11.4 million illegal immigrants in the The united states, majority of those people are here just for a better life style and a brighter future. Most illegal immigrants don’t have a working permit because they’re so afraid to be sent back, they work multiple jobs and sometimes don’t even get paid minimum wage.

Illegal immigrants aren’t allowed to have a licence either. It is basically almost impossible for these people to work long hours and travel by bus to get regular groceries or just basic requirements. There are some exceptions where these immigrants get a vehicle, but then they get stopped by the cops and thus get deported. an article in the Pew Research Center said, “Most of the growth in the number of deported immigrants has come from those deported for reasons other than a criminal conviction.” That means, that majority of the illegal immigrants that have been deported, have been deported for no serious crime at all.

Just like every other problem this world faces, there are people who think that an Immigration reform would be a waste of recourses and should not be created. And more importantly, that all illegal immigrants should go back from wherever they came. People have a habit of putting everyone in the same group. So they tend to think every illegal immigrant is a criminal or a bad person, or thieves when those people are actually here for a better life.

Immigration is a debatable topic. It’s controversial and a lot of people have different opinions about it. Here’s mine, i think we should have an immigration reform for illegal immigrants and their families. It could be a win-win situation not only for the immigrants but also for our nation.

Sincerely,
